Been to Bunker Hill several times. Going back to the 1960's. I have some pics of Don Walker in #39 Super Modified racing there.

Terrible news.....I'm totally shocked. Bobby was a very nice dude. He always had time for his fans and he was a great racer. Gone way, way too soon. RIP Bobby East.

I'm just trying to tell you some of the reasons that most in the local community no longer support the track. The schedule is part of it, the cost is part of it, the way some have been treated there...

Being part of the Chamber of Commerce or attending a Jack Rabbits game is not going to bring the local race fan, casual fan or local racer back to the track.

I can appreciate the efforts they have...

I've been going to Kokomo since the 1960's and it was definitely the biggest crowd I've ever seen there.

I'm not sure if it would be the biggest ever or not. There was at one time grandstands...

I know I have seen several close calls of guys almost hitting it while being pushed off. Even seen one guy have to dodge it by going to the left of it.:5::5::5:

It's not even close. The Real Kokomo Speedway was superior in every way. The new place is just a generic one groove speed bowl.
