35 Sprint cars signed in.

By chance will anyone be giving updates tonight from White Water Valley?
|
Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
Jazz Trombonist ususally gives a good rundown :)
|
Hot laps are just over. Kevin Thomas Jr looked the fastest unofficialy and other fast cars were Logan Hupp, Andretti, Briscoe.
|
Are there any new updates yet from whitewater? Heat line ups?
|
Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
I don't have much but I know Andretti won his heat! Scott Hampton finished 3rd in His heat. KT won his heat and looks fast!
|
Hupp won his heat also, man these people need to see Sprints more often they love'em!

Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
We got a few Whitewater Regs who come down to the Burg quite often. Believe me when I say, I don't know how that track survived till now. But Wagners turning it around. They've been used to five LMs and a dozen mods for years now.
And we complain about anything under 25 :5: |
Guys I apologize. My signal is weak here. If anyone can pick up the slack tonight that would be great.
TThanks to the heat sponsors Burdette Builders, Lias Tire American Racer, Fast Signs, Kistler Engines and Indy Race Parts. |
I believe Briscoe and Spithaler both won their heats also. Some good racing but a lot of rocks coming into the grand stands. Also looked like about 4 guys will need new axels after the heat races. A lot of bumping and banging in the heats.
|
Track is great good turnout as a local this is best I've ever seen the track. Thomas is my pick to win. Andretti looked really good too. Will try to update after the B

Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
your right Charles. I think that's the biggest car count in one class they have had since the 70's... late models won't run there because you can't pass. when we raced there in the mid 80's they got about 18 lm's tops. now less than 10. glad billy isturning things around. at least sprint cars...also track was noted to have a really bad rock problem. this is where billy teegarden got his eye put out at.
|
58 modifieds at the big dawg 100 modified race back a few years back. Like 2005ish. That might be the record.
|
Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
I got smacked a few times by rocks back in the early 90s when they ran sprints fairly often. Don't know if Wagners got a rake but a couple laps and walk behinds couldn't hurt every other week.
|
Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
your right chris that's the last time I was there...it got locked down...
|
It is too bad someone over the years hasn't found a way to cut down on the number of rocks there, it has been that way as long as I can remember, and that reaches back into the 50's, sometimes it is almost rock free, then here they come again, almost like it is on a shale ledge. Bob

Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
Thanks for the updates.
|
Congratulations to Logan Hupp on a thrilling race, lots of slide jobs.
|
The rocks are still a problem had one close to the size of a baseball fly into the stands other then that it was a pretty good race great battle between Logan Hupp and KT JR

Re: Buckeye Machine BOSS Whitewate
We got interviews with Logan and Kevin after this race and the two definitely had plenty to say. This show is worth a listen!
Disclaimer: This episode contains explicit language. The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series visited the Whitewater Valley Speedway and by the time they were done everybody was on their feet. Logan Hupp won a thrilling race over Kevin Thomas Jr. and both were upset with each other after the race. We sat down with Kevin and Logan to get the low-down on the race, their frustration with one another and their thoughts on the BOSS series and the Speedway. Then we brought on an old friend of Billy’s, “The Stingray” Steve Irwin who was hosting us and Landon Simon in his hauler to bench race and tell old stories. http://www.wfopenwheel.com/2014/08/0...lley-speedway/ |
If they would only stop or bleep the f bombs!

Went last night to Whitewater Valley for the first time. The BOSS series put on a great show. The track produced some real good racing and I would definitely make the 3 hour trip back. Only thing they need to improve on is to move the show along a little better. All in all a great night with my sons at Whitewater.
