purse looks like this:

1st = $600 plus prize draw
2nd = $350 plus prize draw
3rd = $250 plus prize draw
4th = $200 plus prize draw
5th = $150 plus prize draw
6th down $150

last place running car will get a prize draw, and at least 2 other starters will get a prize draw, hopefully more as more sponsors donate. Prizes as of now include Indy race parts gift certs, DMI gift certs,and a free ceramic header coat job.

Bump so people can see the info on the front page. Hope things go great for this race!

Tony at Hoosier Tire Midwest 317-858-1234 is on board supporting this new race track. They are donating a "HT-2" right rear to be given away as part of the purse. Remember that the "prizes" will drawn for after the race, and everyone that takes the green has a shot to get them. IE, you could finish last and still walk away with a new $200 tire or a $250 header coating job !!!!!!!!

The track is a 1/4 mile and pretty flat. It was super smooth last time they raced, even late into the night. I picked up another few "draw" prizes for the sprints. Fred Blocker my Lucas Oil distributor donated 3 cases of 20x50 oil for us to add to the purse. Weather is looking pretty decent for Saturday, I sure hope to see a good turnout in the stands and the pits, so this is a successful event for them.

65 or 31 south to Scottsburg ; East on 56 until you get to 3; 3 south and follow the signs ; the track is on the north side of town on the right as you are going south.... Or it was in 1982 the last time we were there...

if your anywhere near highway 3, take it, we took it all the way there and the track is actually located on 3. if your going coming from the north on 3, it will be on your right hand side, very easy to pass up.

Thanks, guys. Didn't trust my own judgement. Richie and I will probably hit 3 east of Scottsburg.

Andrew, we call it the Promised Land, not Kentucky. :D Still have lots of extended family down there.

Keith, Mr. Hoover and I looked at that map and tried to find an oval but had no luck. So....we'll proceed on faith.

Google maps just shows the motorcross track, but the starting gate is actually off the backstretch. Pretty neat joint and the promoter really seems like he wants the cars.

yes we will have methanol at the track for sale. also there will be a pure stock enduro paying $500.00 to win paying back top 10 spots. The hornet will be a regular show with heats and consy. it will pay $200 to win. so pass the word along.

Races are cancelled for tonight, they are going to run tomorrow. gates open at 11:30 hot laps 1:30 racing at 2pm. Hope everyone can make it out. The owner has the track in great shape and he wants to get this race. for more info call 812-871-7728. hope everyone can make tomorrow
