Im one of those irrelevant race fans that clog up the bleachers so the real race fans have a hard time getting a good seat

Lot of people on the internet seem butthurt by Kyle's decision to run this. I don't know, I have a buddy who only knows anything about the Chili Bowl because of Kyle Larson. More eyes on the class can't hurt, unless your plan is for it to stay the weird little niche thing that it currently is.

I go so far as to say the best thing is that he's not going to win it. Some irrelevant local racer is going to get to go back to his sponsors afterwards and tell them he outran a 2x Cup Champion. Who knows, maybe just that will elevate him to the level of where he deserves to be there.

No I'm not taking him lightly. He will run respectably.

What I do know is how truly deep the field is.
