Eckert was telling me about this race last week at Tri City Speedway. I see he now has it listed at http://www.openwheeltimes.com/owt_schedule.asp?
scheduled for the Saturday after Thanksgiving in Springfield, Missouri.Non wing sprintcars, and also midgets. Its also on Springfields website at http://springfieldraceway.com/07'%20Schedule.htm Why fight the crowds out doing Christmas Shopping?? Go sprint car racing instead. |

Huh!? I never even heard of Springfield Raceway. May have to make some plans now. Prolly have to brave the elements though so late in the year. I've only been to one sprint car race in the month of November. It was the 2004 Comp Cams Memphis Nats. which was postponed to the week after the STN's after getting rained out. Your winner that night was "The Fast Phenom from Olive Branch, Miss."
$2500 to win for 360's is good (think ASCS Nat. pays $3K) but is $500 really a decent winner's share for mibgets? I'm really unfamiliar with how much groups like Powri, Badger and other's pay. |

I was in Springfield last Thanksgiving to visit some family and it was high 70's...one week later and they had record snow fall.
Not sure of our plans this year but if we are down that way I will make it a point to attend. |

Wings, cold weather....I think I'll hang in Florida and hit the Turkey Rod Run at Daytona.:pissonwings: Real roadsters don't have wings or fenders.
