Good going Robin!!The man only said the truth on that deal..I hope Nascar invites and interviews him at the nascar awards in New York Friday night..I bet it would be more interesting then the other top 12 finishers speeches that evening!

Love him or Hate him, Robin Miller tells it like it is, and in this case he is Spot On.

I don't know I thought Robin Miller was somebody else...lol!
a) I don't believe USAC is willing to admit they made a mistake. b) I just wonder if you could run the old cars with the new cars, but allow the old cars to have changes to make them safer on these larger 1.5 mile ovals. If the answer is "no' you could never make the old cars safe enough to run on 1.5 mile ovals, then you will never see the old cars run again, unless they decided to run the older cars on smaller tracks and I don't believe USAC would be willing to do that. If they did USAC would have a chance to revive the sport. Sincerely, Larry Otani:doh: |

How about a new car with the styling of a Watson roadster?
Build it with the safety technology of the "Ugly Duckling" but with some traditional Roadster style. |

Ok Sprinter,
Let's go one step further. Run what you brung! Only one stipulation. It must go through a safety inspection. I'm sure there are many engineers, including nascar that have people who can look at a design...front engine or rear, roll bars, safety equipment and make a determination if the car is safe to run on a 1.5 mile track. Someone made the comment that USAC went astray when the rear engine car came into play and they turned it down. Let open up the rules, and bring the fans, cars back into existence. Let's bring back the spirit of racing. Bring anything. It must pass minimum of rules. It can be offset to include all the supermodifeds, current "ugly" ducklings andl the PRA traditional sprint cars. It would make money, it would bring back cars and stars and fans. What more could you want?:redflag: Sincerely, Larry Otani |
