When I was there a week ago a fan told me they was going to extend the track out a little and make it wider. They claim they wanted some late model races. It looked like to me they did extend the seating out past the track on turn 4 side of the front stretch so maybe its true. The rumor was a small half mile and they was just taking it out a little further on the turn 3 and 4 side. This was going to be done after the season is over but like everything its just a rumor. I hope they leave it alone its fine is the way it is.

Bloomington, instead of being measured at a 1/4 mile on the inside (three feet up from the tires) it is actually measured at a 1/4 mile around the absolute top of the track.

I parked down near the pile two weeks ago. It was in fact red clay. Wasn't enough of it to make a half mile tho lol. Hopefully they just make it a little wider. Not many people have enough money to consistently run a half mile anymore,
