I live in Sidney (15 minutes from the track) & the rain has been gone for a few hours.
We got a light shower and that's it. Very overcast but temperature is great.
Should be no problem at all getting the show in unless more weather pops up.
Mother nature put down just enough to help track prep.
From TJ slideways
Mike miller won heat one, Gurley won heat two. Boespflug flips out of park heat. He is ok. I will send results later. Conditions are tuff. Still raining
Bad deal for Chad, poke sitter should've NEVER been on the pole. I've seen some racers realize they're over their head a start the tail, that should've happened there. That's the problem with pill draws, but more a lack of common sense. They're lucky it didn't happen again on the next start.
Kudos to Waynesfield and the racers for trying to get this in, I've never been to a race, and I've been going a long time, that started with conditions this raw, constant mist, cool wind and probably in the 50's now. Decent crowd too
As I stand here in the mist..... I just can't thank all the fans, drivers, crews, families, track workers that have made an effort to get this show in. REEEEEAALLLY has the potential to be something special. If only the weather was more cooperative.
