In the early eighties Putnamville had a promotion where they were going to have a " Kinser only " race as an add on to their regular show and hit on an off night for the outlaws so even Steve showed up. The deal was you had to be part of the Kinser clan by blood so some of the participants had other last names, but they were all Kinsers.
By the time they counted all the entries they ended up running two heats and a feature to determine who was the " King of the Kinsers ".
