Can’t say I’m the happiest with how last night went. It’s a cold night and Kokomo starts an hour 15 late. Then sat through an hour+ Of a demolition derby (Thunder stocks) finally had enough after the midget feature. At this point it was 1:45am and 34F outside. At least the racing was good. No one wants to sit at a race track in the cold past 1am. Was considering going back tonight but after last night plus 300+ Cars going to be in attendance I think I’m just going to stay home. Do better kokomo

I couldn’t stay awake long enough to watch the feature and I was in the comfort of my recliner. Any word on how Dave Darland is doing?

When I saw it all I could think of was, NOT AGAIN, Stans fire at Haubstadt was the scariest thing I have ever seen, ( I have seen some fatal crashes). Then seeing Dave last night. I just maybe done of seeing friends hurt.

Cottle and Mihocko deserve the badazz of the year move for jumping into action and smothering the fire out on Darland. I’m sure Dave would prefer to be smothered by trophy girls ( Brenda might object ), but in this case I’m sure he’s glad they were there as was I. Nice going guys in a scary situation. I’m sure there will some good jokes about that at the beer cooler.

Didn’t see a fire extinguisher on either end of the track. Just a few guys lounging in a “response” truck in the middle of the infield. Dave was on fire for far too long. Definitely put a damper on my night. Glad he was ok.
