I think it is a reference to an oil derrick. Only a guess on my part. The street signs on Main street in Gas City are made to look like them. Anyone know what the T after some of the classes means?
Pretty sure the throw back sprints ,are the vintage cars ,that used to put on parade laps, at intermission, now they are planning on racing them, (non down tube cars) they have a Facebook page
Thanks, that's what I figured, but I think that's what ran at least 1 time at the old stadium in Indy, they were full bodied cars, with automatic transmissions, some unusual club from the East, been a while, probably weren't more than 20 in the club. Just thought someone else might have attended the midget races there.
"Being old, isn't half as much fun, as getting there"! Ole Robert I!
Already booked 8 Friday nights along with a Thursday and a Saturday overnights. I love this track and Kokomo for consistently kind people who welcome this Ol' Buckeye into their ovals for the past couple of decades. Most on here are so fortunate to enjoy non wing sprint cars so close to home. Please be kind to all tracks and only post positives on all social sites. Remember, no promoter is in business to disappoint or alienate the teams, drivers, staff, and fans. Have a safe and enjoyable 2023 racing season.
