IT IS BETTENHAUSEN 100 USAC RACE DAY AT THE Illinois State Fair!

Traditional open-wheel racing with roots to the Indianapolis 500 and National Championship continues on with the USAC Racing Silver Crown Champ Cars. The Silver Crown Series comes in after a great event last night at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison which saw Dakoda Armstrong pick up the win. A 40 car pre-entry field means it is going to be a highly contested 61st Bettenhausen 100 presented by Hunt Brothers_Pizza. DIRTcar Racing Sportsman will also run qualifying events for the 31st Illinois Sportsman Nationals as well.

It's going to be a Chamber of Commerce Day. Come on out to the fair, get some delicious fair food favorites like a Corn Dog, Funnel Cake, Lemon Shake-Up, and other unique items you can only find there, and enjoy a great day of motorsports as well. The lady at the infield charged me $20 just to get into the infield. Told her I was watching from the grandstand and she still said it was $20.00 for the infield.
