New Direction for Bloomington Speedway for 2025
Speedway Partners, LLC have announced that they have entered into a five year lease with a two year option to operate Bloomington Speedway beginning with the 2025 season. This agreement reflects the continued commitment of the Mitchell-Priest family that dates to August 24, 1923, when the Bloomington Speedway Company first filed letters of incorporation. For over a century the Speedway has been a significant resource for the City of Bloomington, Indiana and a destination for fans and participants from around the globe. While speculation about the future of the track was rife, the Mitchell-Priest family firmly resolved that racing should continue at the famed red clay oval. Also reflecting the wishes of the family, Speedway Partners, LLC is a local leadership group who respects and honors the history and legacy of the facility. Additional information on the management team, and the plans for the 2025 season will be released over the course of the next several weeks.

That's great. Let's hope this new group, with the help of the track ownership, can provide some capital $$$ for some basic track improvements. Start with track lights and new sound speakers. Bloomington has a hall of fame announcer, yet you can barely hear him. Earlier this summer I heard a driver reference how dark Bloomington was and how it presented shadows on the track while racing. That was alarming. Don't worry, other tracks need these same improvements. Thankfully Paragon and Anderson have made these upgrades. Good luck to Speedway Partners.
