Another year has passed since we lost a talented racer at Winchester in a USAC sprint car race.
We lost Indycar racer Dan Wheldon at Las Vegas in 2011. Race In Peace, Gentlemen

I wish I could have met James. I knew his dad. Here are some of James's items I ended up with.

Had the privilege and honor of knowing James somewhat. He was a quiet, polite young man. We were less than a year apart. My wife and I were married on Oct. 15 and we stopped at Winchester on our way back to Dayton, OH, which was our home at the time. As fantastic as Oct. 15 was for both my wife and I, Oct. 16 was one of the saddest days of our lives.

Thinking of Bobby Marshall during the reading of this thread. He spent a lot of his life making sure no one forgot about his good friend James.
