on this track a 150 laps isn't even 75 miles. 7/16 track. distance of miles are about the same as 100 laps at IRP. Hey, up here in Michigan we are lucky to get any Big shows.

Berlin race = 66 miles
ORP race = 69 miles

Right on Duel.

I guess all I can say is if a team doesn't go then they have a 0% chance of winning anything.

Letting your race car sit in the garage is a no cost option, but if you do it for the sport (fun) of it then racing is the only oprion.

When's the last time a SC purse has paid this little? I thought $9000 was the minimum. I think the promoter might have had "shakey knees" about keeping his head above water. I suppose sometimes a group must bend a bit in order to avoid further embarrassment.

Two things I hope happen after this race:
1) If this promoter DOES end up making some money, I hope he gives a cut to those who deserve it- the guys who put on the show at a discount rate.
2) USAC has a solid 2011 Silver Crown schedule. This is supposed to be the PREMIER DIVISION. Stop relegating these races to support shows; on weekdays too! If you can book this series at Lawrenceburg even, and it's a lock that it'll actually happen, do

A week before the event and they are still making changes? With Illiana and Oswego leaving a bad taste in many people's mouths I'm just hoping it's not too little too late. Spending a few days in the Northeast and at WoO and Dirt shows, I would say there is a whole of differences in these series.
