I was sitting in the stands at Salem when they announced over the PA that Bobby had been fired form IU.

Coach Knight and the Athletic Director don't really see eye to eye.... Knight will never coach again at IU... but it doesn't hurt to dream!

I guess my thought was that the "Athletic Director" should be out as well.... Never say never gang... Seems to me that the people down Bloomington way don;t care much about Losers and like Cheaters less than that.... Sure, its a long shot, but like I said, never say never.....

There doesn’t need to be any further discussion about it. He shouldn’t have coached last night regardless. If you’re under investigation, you have no reason to be on the bench until decisions are made. I personally feel the way they got beat last night was deserved. A bull **** banked in three to go along with a bull **** situation. I feel really bad for the players because they have really worked hard and put themselves into a position to succeed. I really hope they can hold things together for their sake.

When Knight left, all I wanted was the graduation rate to stay high and not cheat to win. Who do they hire? A guy who had a well below average rate and cheater at his previous stop. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and was on his side because everybody deserves a second chance. He blew it and he must go and go now. Just when you thought they were on the right track to getting back where they belong (legally), here we are. This fan and alum isn’t too proud to call himself either today. People say what they want about Knight’s personality. Winner, grad rates as high as anybody, did not cheat. Good enough for me.
I agree 100%.

Also, I think this time they almost have to hire someone from within the "IU Family." They are 0-2 when doing otherwise (No, Davis wasnt IU family even if he was an assistant).

Sampson isnt that great of a coach, he is getting carried by the talent he has on his team. They could be soo much better.

Look at Purdue, I cant stand them, but I cant discredit what Painter has done with them. From top to bottom Iu has more talent than Purdue, yet Purdue has been much more impressive this year. Why, a better coach.

**No way Knight would want to come back to IU...and I doubt IU would even consider him. I think they want to find someone who will be there for 20 years.

Okay - another reason why this isn't going to happen
Context - IU is in deep trouble with the NCAA
Question 1: Who was the IU president when Knight was let go?
Question 2: Who is the President of NCAA?

I always wanted to see Steve Alford return... as the coach.
