I quit going to Eldora. They can't run a program anywhere near advertised time.
Sad, I had a lot of fun going there in the 80's and 90's. The Four Crown was in my top 5 of must attend events. (Indy 500, Mid Ohio CART, Milwaukee CART, Hut Hundred, Hoosier Hundred) I been to all the Sumar Classics I believe, might have missed one. |

For a made for streaming event, I am sure it ran later than anyone wanted. The weather leading up to it was terrible. In fairness to them, it is impossible to run a super fast show with that many cars. I am sure they didn't expect that many mods or late models. The announcers even commented at Brownstown, that they were surprised with the car count compared to last year. My biggest question from both nights is, why even bother with heat races? You start the fastest up front, and it's a glorified hot lap session. I watched both nights until I got bored.

Brent, I agree with you about the heat races and I include the B Mains as well as the Modifides and Stock cars. I had it on my laptop with the volume turned low and read a Kindle book until the A Main.

JD asking for a slick smoothie is not surprising. The slicker and smoother the more highly engineered teams excel

I'm guessing the late start is so some of the teams could get to the races, due to not getting off of work until 4:30-5. (Mainly speaking about mods and stock teams)

They are in process of putting up new better Video board and said it should be done by next race.

I had some correspondence with 2020 during the night. And I agree there were ups and downs. Early it looked sluggish. I thought they made up some time in the heats, and then lost some time after that. It was my understanding this series was, and to paraphrase, “made for streaming”. If that is the case, they need to tighten things up for the different time zone audiences. And even for those attending and participating, it’s still a work night. Having said that they have had some that ran off smoothly, and some have missed the mark. I sure am glad we have big time week night show’s to critique
