Take out the finish, it was an ok race. Several dumb wrecks. More than normal. Same old stupid stuff in the pit area. Its time to follow most other short track series with the pit road stuff. Something like the Late Models do (Winchester 400). Lets make sure tires are tight. One of these days someone is really going to get hurt. Also the track looks so armature. A race of this caliber should have safety crews on 4 wheelers or side by sides. No reason it should take 10 laps to get a car spun around. I'm all about safety but come on!!!! That lap 1 crash.... Holly Cow he hit hard! That guys was lucky to walk away with just a broken arm/wrist.

Field quality was down this year. I understand why so many did not show up. If you really cannot pay more money (i.e. we could see the normal sponsors that were not there) then its time to do other things to make the race cheaper. No reason you should have to hire a nascar pit crew to get f'd over by a push truck guy.

I was the one talking about Anderson speedway being a joke show before the race. Heck they couldn't even park cars! The amount of wasted space was crazy. They did absolutely nothing to prove me wrong. The new announcer really needs to go spend a few days with Denny Adams. He was clueless on the history of the event. I was done after the red flag for rolling water barrels. Its sad to see what this place has turned into. And before you get mad at me for telling the truth this was my 30th race.
Parking at Anderson is always a joke at the big events.
Accident clean-up is always slow.
I said to my wife, 'after the 300th water barrel clean-up you would think they would put something different up for safety.' Happens at too many races there.
At one point I saw only 2 push trucks for live pit stops.

FYI

The procedure for this race is when a yellow comes out, clear the accident scene first.
Next the lineup is set, then the pits are open for 4 laps to allow for pit stops. After the minimum of 4 laps the green comes back out.

Early and late in the race very few teams pit so it appears to the fans the pace truck is just riding around wasting time. I observed one guy who felt compelled to stand and yell at the pace truck while flipping them the bird during several yellow flag periods.

If you don't understand the procedure, I'm sure it could be frustrating.

I'm sharing in an effort to help everyone relax and enjoy the show next year.

Sir I know the procedure quite well. On a simple spin out the car should not set there for 5 laps before ever getting touched. From there I understand the line up and the pit time. Its not that hard to get a 4 wheeler or sxs at each end of the track. Use that to get the car in position for the push truck. No different than what you see at most Saturday night tracks.

I grew up at this track. This management staff has ran the track into the ground over the last 15 years. This is the only race I will attend at the place. Its very sad. When you have this caliber of a race, its not that hard to put gates on the corners. I get not having them week in week out. But rolling barrels should not be happening.
