You need a hybrid of old and Ideas. Used to be come early and stay late! Well that was when their were only 2-3 classes per night. We now live in a microwave society of no patients and no attention span. Solution: Open pits till 30 prior to heat in the motor. Let the fans see the cars up close, meet the drivers and team. Buy some merch not available on the grandstand side.
Little kids will tire out alot before feature time but if they have connected to a car they will wanna come back.Programs: dont have to be fancy. Driver profile inserts helps fans connect to certain drivers. Pick the podium contest page. Coloring book page for the kids and Modified fans.
Cater to the older and disabled fans: Golf cart courtesy shuttles in the parking lots Especially for big events. Large crowds discorage some if they cant reach an event early.Street Teams: popular technique used by up and come bands to assemble a team of volunteers to paper an area with flyers of upcoming shows.
Thanks, Major brain fart. But was trying to say that he had marquee's out in high traffic areas that people could see and be reminded of racing at Bloomington.

Chuck Welsh was the PR guy for Mike and Judy when they promoted at Bloomington.
Our local track announced it was closing and the crowds and car counts were stellar...(after the announcement). Everyone wanted to come out one more time!

Haubstadt uses their marquee sign that sits on the edge of a major north-south thoroughfare to promote all upcoming racing events along with community events. Today they were congratulating the local girls HS bb team on their state class 3 championship. That how you do it.
