My biggest highlight has to be the peace offering between USAC/POWRi/Tri-City and hopefully beyond with the betterment of Midget racing in the midwest.
Hoping for all race tracks/sanctioning bodies to prosper in 2013.... |

Got to make my first trip to the tracks I have always read about or saw on TV. TerreHaute, Bloomington, Putmanville, Knoxville, and Riverside Speedway, West Memphis Ark. Non- wing sprints at 4 out of 5. Also a side trip and tour of the Speedway Hope to repeat at some and add others.

My favorite highlight of 2012 was watching Bryan Clauson battle for the win during the Sprint Week feature at Gas City!
My biggest news highlight of 2012 was checking to see how well BC did each practice day at Indy. I was bummed that qualifying didn't go better for him but...now he's a veteran. Hope that leads to better results for him next year! For 2013, I'm looking forward to the USAC/POWERI midget races at Little Belleville. I've heard that it's a really good midget track. (Thanks for the tip Andrew). |

Click the link below for the top ten dramatic moments of 2012.
But being at any race at any track was a plus in 2012. Seeing Marv come back from near oblivion was a treat. Seeing other friends fight illness with courage and grace was another. Various races stuck out to be sure, but the overall highlight of 2012 was watching a 3 year old watch races and learn something new every time he showed up. By year's end he had come to expect some seat time in a sprint car, any of them would do. Thanks to guys like Chad Boespflug, Chase Stockon, others for letting him take the seat for a bit. Thanks to Darren Hagen, who gave him a baseball cap, then signed it, along with several other drivers. Thanks to promoters, yes, even the promoters. The Bloomington group, Tom and Jiggs, Dave, Joe, Tony, Richard, the O'Conners and the Helfrich family are among a fine group of Hoosiers who love racing. (Let us add Eldora's staff too.) For 2013 it's more of the same as long as the money holds out. If I'm caught whining about anything, feel free to smack me.
