Went to Plymouth last night to watch the GLSS show. Without question, IMO, Plymouth Speedway is now the crown jewel of dirt track facilities in Indiana. Granted, Kokomo and Gas City have top shelf racing, but from an overall facility perspective, Plymouth is WAY up there.
ISW there will be fantastic. |

I should clarify my post to reference the Indiana tracks I have actually been to. In that group, I like Plymouth these days. Plus, it is the closest to headquarters here in Stevensville. But not that I don't like the others, mind you. |

I agree Lawrenceburg is the nicest facility, but as I said last week in the flea market vs. camper debate, without the fairgrounds receiving casino funding, it probably wouldn’t be.
In my opinion, Tri State (Haubstadt) is the nicest privately owned facility in the state. All that being said, I look forward to visiting the upgraded Plymouth during ISW. I haven’t been there in dirt configuration. |

However, I do have to chuckle at what this has dovetailed into (without hijacking the topic). For best facilities we now have votes/arguments (in chronological order): Plymouth, Lawrenceburg, Haubstadt, and Lincoln Park. I've been to Lincoln Park. Great place. Nothing bad to say about it. I am sure if we wait long enough, more would be added. All I am just going to add is that if you have not been to Plymouth, when you walk in and go under the grandstand and see the veranda/walkway out in front, you will be like Princess Kate when she came out to the crowd after her wedding with Prince William and go, "WOW!" Then the sun will go down and the LEDs come on. A great addition to ISW no matter how the banter goes on about who has the best hand at the table. We have been dealt a really good hand here, folks, and it is no bluff. These are good times. |
