Rumors are starting to fly about THAT. The latest is that Bob Sargent is back in th saddle and Tony stewart, Kenny Wallace and Ken Schrader are quietly supporting the effort as well.
D.A. is out ( no surprise ) but left with everything not nailed down ( and some things that were ). The pit stands are gone. |

Now if they will just tear down the concrete wall and install the steel rail, pit in the infield and let the fans back in the infield we will have the old THAT back ! Another thing not to be overlooked is bringing back the Budweiser cart to the infield for all of us mechanics to visit after the race ! LOL

Don't want to start anymore more rumors but on our way to the Bahamas I talked with Bob as he was headed to Charlotte. He said he was heading down to talk to Tony, and both Kenny's about something in the area. I am not sure if he meant something new, one of the stock car tracks here close, or if he meant TH. We shall find out soon.

Well at least you could bounce off the old rail or go over it. In my opinion the wall is a lot more dangerous than that old rail ever was.

That`s the latest and greatest rumor, I had heard last October that Tommy Helfrich had been contacted about taking it over. I will guarantee you if Tommy did take it over that would be a great surface to race on !
