Illini Racing Series Banquet

You are cordially invited to the 20th Annual Illini Racing Series Awards Banquet on November 17th at Jennifer's Garden, 555 West Gore Road, Morris, Illinois. We hope you can join us to celebrate our champions, top finishers, and special award winners, and all they accomplished in the 2007 season.

Tickets are again $35 per person (children under 12 half price), and as usual, there will be a cash bar. Cocktails will be available during the social hour from 6 - 7 p.m., with the family style dinner served starting at 7 p.m. The presentation of awards will begin at approximately 8 p.m. The room will be set up with tables of 10, with only a few reserved for the champions, the rest of the seating is on a first come first served basis, so come early, grab a good table, exchange a few stories and enjoy looking over the championship cars on display in the hall!

Please mail your checks, payable to Illini Racing Series, along with a complete list of those attending, to 1608 Taylor Street, Joliet, IL 60435, not later than November 5th. We must have a name for each ticket. Attendees names will be checked off the master list at the reception area upon your arrival. Because we need to guarantee a definite number of attendees to Jennifer's Garden a week in advance, again this year, we are unable to sell any tickets at the door.

The club owners would like to thank everyone for their participation and efforts in making the 2007 season a success. Plans are already underway on the 2008 season, but first we need to finish off the 2007 campaign with a party! We hope to see you on the 17th of November.

November 2nd! Where did I put that information about the Illini Racing Series Banquet on November 17th?!? Ahh...here it is! I have to get my check in by Monday! AND SO DO YOU!! All drivers (from all participating classes) attending the banquet will receive a post season award based on their finishing position, and there are many year end awards to be announced and presented! All that and DJ services by the Amazing Orseske!

Virtually every series and sanctioning body will have an awards banquet at their season's end.

Race fans should seriously consider attending these great events !
For approximately the same cost of going out to dinner at a nice restaurant you will find yourself front and center with track owners , team owners , promoters , race organizers , officials , and of course , the drivers !

I know of one family that cut a deal for their youngster to drive a midget while attending a banquet last winter ! You just never know where your opportunities may come from ! Go and have a great evening ... you'll be glad you did !
