how they ever raced without them massive side boards They must not have been Human. There are some who still don't use a Left side board and it's neet to see em wheeling. But it's nothing like this era that I grew up with where You seen Dick Gaines and Bob Kinsers massive shoulders and big arms wheeling a Giant Steering wheel wheel to get em to turn I know some had power steering in the 70s but I don't think it was widely used until the 80s and most of these cars were way more than 1100 pds.
