Great track! Hats off again to Spiker promotions for providing an awesome race to watch. It was tricky as hell for the drivers which is what made for such a great race. The leader made more mistakes than I can count which led to a back and forth race. You don’t get that on “perfect” tracks or in winged racing. After the what they did to get Terre Haute in and have a dustless Action track and then reschedule Bloomington and have a great track, Spiker is my new favorite promoter. However, Lawrenceburg rescheduled too and are having a big money USAC race and Haubstadt was nothing short of amazing. I guess I just love sprint week! It’s the modern day real sprint car nationals on a different track every night. Planning to attend more nights next year. It’s just so damn good.

Only made it to three this year but all were excellent races. LPS, Terre Haute and Bloomington (twice!) Dealing with Indiana 39 in the dark was a tough deal for my 62 year old eyes! I swear it would put most of the F1 tracks on the modern schedule to shame.

From Lincoln Park Speedway to Bloomington Speedway and everywhere in between we have to say that ISW24 had to be one of the most competitive and exciting seven days of racing for this series in many a year. Starting with LPS where cars were flipping out of the ballpark and the unfortunate fire involving Stevie Sussex (hope he is coming along well) and plenty of good racing in between it was a good start to the seven race series. Logan Seavey winning from sixth with Kyle Cummins right there from seventh and Mitchel Moles from 12th to 4th and Brady Bacon from 14th to 5th it was a good show on a well prepared track surface.

Onto Kokomo Speedway where the closest finish of ISW24 occurred with Kyle Cummins edging Logan Seavey by a short margin and the weirdness continued as a D2 midget team tried to exit the grounds via the backstretch run on lane to the track and Reece O'Connor rushing over on his ATV as the field was pushing off for the restart were memorable moments.

Lawrenceburg Speedway looked like a good one as illness kept us home as we wanted to be there to support the new promoter who has had crappy weather for the majority of his big ticket events.

Next was Circle City, though dusty it was a fine show with some great racing in both the heats and feature events. Logan Seavey continues to amaze us in the sprint car ranks as he clicked off his 13th win of 2024 and it was not even August yet!!

The effort put in by Joe Spiker and his track crew at Terre Haute on Thursday was truly amazing as they wiped the surface into racing shape after having standing water on the insides of turns one and three to deal with along with a very wet overall surface which produced a juiced up and dustless race with Robert Ballou the show riding above the cushion against the fence from 24th to 5th and big track master, Brady Bacon, taking down the win.

Saturday was another hot and humid day but Tom Helfrich and his amazing track crew had Tri-State in great shape once again for the night of racing. Some wild flips including Kevin Thomas Jr who dumped it in time trials, went to a backup car and came from 20th to 3rd in the semi and 24th to 7th in the A main in a fine display of driving and should have been 5th if not for a turn four checkered flag tangle. The race for the lead between Justin Grant and Mitchel Moles was tremendous and the resolve that Grant had to retake the lead after bouncing off the backstretch wall and holding off Moles was classic!!

The finale at Bloomington Speedway produced fantastic racing both in heat action and feature action on a track with "character" that the Spiker track crew continued to refine during the course of the evening producing a great feature race with plenty of drama provided by Logan Seavey's flip and quick repair to return to the fray. Seavey was able to survive the rough ride in turn four to claim his first ISW title by a mere 13 points over Bacon.

It was non-winged racing at its finest and thanks to some many different people for sticking with it to provide us fans with some great and memorable racing.

Bring on ISW25!!!

The other amazing thing about that feature was how they got Seavey's car back in the race after that hellacious multi-flip!

Yes he was. But he comes from the densely populated area known as Pennsyltraffic.
