I know we are an open wheel group, but I want to give a shout out to Bobby Gill who passed away at the age of 65 on the 17th after a battle with a word I will not use. He was a late model standout forever and later a USAR Hooters Pro Cup champ. When ASA was something to get up and go to watch, he was there, too. Had the honor of watching him race quite a few times around these parts back when Dick Trickle, Mike Eddy, Butch Miller, and the rest of the boys of the time were the Midwest's greatest short track pavement show.
I really miss the old ASA and hooters cup racing. While we are on the subject, but Noah Yoder died in a car accident October the 10th. Was a car owner for Todd Forbes, Jack Landis and some Busch guy drove for him also.

Too bad about Yoder. I remember him racing, also. We used to joke that he might have been the only Amish wheelman.
RIP along with Bobby.
Chiming in live from the West Coast of Michigan.... Mike
