When is someone or some sanctioning body going to look last all the hush money, when rear tires can't last 14 laps at 300 plus per tire we have a major problem...they can blame it on air pressure and heat and all the bs but come on get real. This has to change.

AJR, be careful talking about the tire syndicate. I brought it up some time ago and was slandered here and other forums. But you are exactly right, we need a tire revolution. Actually we a revolution in a lot of things, but I’ll keep it to tires for us IOW’ers

I understand totally, some will say to low air pressure or doping a million other reasons but a rear tire should simply never explode 14 laps in or even 30 laps without something coming in contact with it or delaming..this is a serious problem for driver safety that is overlooked non stop...tracks are paid off every year run hoosier tires exclusively. Who is really paying the price tho?

We need another supplier. Competition cures many ills.

I assume this post is referring to WOO event at Volusia??......It appeared they were LR Tires???.....But, yes point well taken....not good for a tire to explode after 14 laps.

Lack of competition never made anything better or cheaper.

I remember the days of when a car having a McCreary, Goodyear,Firestone, Hoosier combination was commonplace.

Southern Allstars late models ran on American Racing and also had blown tire issues this week

I am sure this thread should fix any problems. Just as it has every other time throughout the years

I agree, I do not like Hoosiers as they don't last, put on a brand new one & bald or blown by end of the race. Saw a sprint had an American Racer on RR, won the race & still looked good, owner said he would run it again
