This tail tank came with this 1982 Nance chassis that was on e-bay some time ago. Car was picked up from southern Indiana area. Looks like the rear kick-ups of the frame were replaced at one time. Could have come from Indiana, illinois or Missouri.Does anyone recognize it? I don't think many Nance cars of this vintage had added on sidebars on the cage.

Not to be difficult, but are you sure that is an '82 Nance? Is there a number welded in the cross member at the top of the motor plate?

Positive Tom, there is a number welded on the top bar above the motor plate. Gives month, number built and year made.

To my recollection, Greg never had a Nance Chassis nor, did he have a multi-colored tail tank as shown in the photo..

The gentleman who got it off of Ebay got the tank (which I don't have) with the car but its not a given that it was used on this particular car. I would guess it was as the chassis has tabs for a tank versus the straps Nance used to secure the tanks on. I figured if I could identify at least the tank, i may be able to follow some sort of trail.

Think it looks like one of Duke Cook's old cars. The bars on the cage for arms make me think so. Duke had them, and not many other Nance cars did. Just a guess.
