MALCOLM GOES BACK-TO-BACK AT SANTA MARIA

Nipomo, California (July 6, 2024)………Tommy Malcolm is heating up at just the right time.

The Corona, California racer collected his second consecutive Avanti Windows & Doors USAC CRA Sprint Car feature victory during Saturday night’s Doug Fort Memorial at Nipomo, California’s Santa Maria Speedway.

Malcolm led all 30 laps from the pole position to earn his fifth career USAC CRA triumph and his second overall score of the season, which helped vault him into the series point lead by a mere two markers over seventh place finisher R.J. Johnson (Laveen, Ariz.).

Trailing Malcolm to the finish line was runner-up Austin Williams (Yorba Linda, Calif.) who was followed by Cody Williams (Corona, Calif.), David Gasper (Goleta, Calif.) and Andrew Sweeney (Queen Creek, Ariz.) while Woodland Auto Display Fast Qualifier Ryan Timmons (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) finished sixth.
