Here you go. Honda 1000 aren't too popular in Mini Sprints although they can be pretty competitive when set up right. Looking for gear charts you sometimes have to do a little reverse engineering. I googled 06 Honda 1000cc specs and got. http://world.honda.com/CBR1000RR/spec/.

The primary reduction is 1.717 that is the ratio between the crank shaft and clutch. That secondary ratio is the sprocket ratio on the bike your secondary will change all the time. Most guys use second gear we have gone to bigger rear sprockets and use 3rd 4th and even 5th ever so often to find better gears for certain conditions.

The Transmission gear ratios are

1st---------------2.286

2nd-------------1.778

3rd-------------1.500

etc-----------------

Multiply the primary ratio time the trans ratio to get reduction at the drive sprocket Example 1.717 x1.778 (second gear) = 3.053 to 1 overall engine

If you are running a 14 x 49 sprockets or 49/14 = 3.5 to 1

Your overall ratio would be 3.053 x 3.500 = 10.686 to 1 .

Mike has some very helpful info on his site at http://www.hyperracing.com/ Guys just starting out in this chain gang thing should read.

We will talk about Methanol conversion a little later.

We race zx10r's. They are also not too popular so I know what you are doing is up hill. Checking the oil pan on the Honda shows that it is also a deep center sump design. This make you have to mount the engine very high in the car. While this design works real well on motorcycles that lean into the turn on cars the oil climbs the walls of the sump and you run out of oil. People do fabricate flat pans and pickups>>>I don't really know about for the Honda? At the least you might want t fabricate a baffle trap door deal to hold the oil back in the turns. Sp-2 is usually a spec tire.

Highjack????? They tell me I do that all the time but then I am Pre "PC". We use Midget take off's when we can get them. If it fits a Midget then it fits a Mini Sprint. Hoosier tires are nice but American Racer are cheaper if you buy them new and work fine on Mini Sprints. sp-2 is kind off the "House Tire"

I have a gear chart in excel that you can plug in the ratios and tire diameters of your choice and it calculates all of the numbers for every gear, but the site doesn't allow excel attachments; anybody know how to import an excel spreadsheet into a Word doc and keep the formulas active?

Give FTZ out of Missouri a call. They have their own in house machine / CNC shop. They worked over our stock R6 pan and pick up and have had no problems. They may be able to help.
