“Old School, Volumn One” a racing photography book by Mike Arthur

Mike Arthur is now accepting pre-orders of the first in a series of photo books showcasing his outstanding photography. “Old school,” is a 72-page book that highlights the best, the unusual, and the spectacular photos that only Mike Arthur is able to captured them.

This book contains over 300 black and white and color photos, and is vintage Arthur. “Old School,” covers his first few years as a racing photographer, but even early in his photographic career, it was easy to identify Arthur’s photography as a step ahead of many. His craft is captured in this limited production, hard cover book and is a “must have” for collectors of auto racing memorabilia.

This era of Mike Arthur’s photos encompasses everything from sprint cars to midgets, from Indy cars to Winston Cup racing. The tracks range from West Capital, to Phoenix International, from Ascot to Manzanita and many others. Associations range from CRA, to USAC, from NASCAR to Indy cars and more.

With limited images from the era of 1971-72, Arthur shares the humble beginnings of his career in, “Old School,” but quickly moves forward to 1974 with a wonderful concentration of pics from Imperial Raceway in El Centro during the Mid-Winter Fair. Moving along, photos from the famed Ascot carry through with sprints and midgets during important, key races such as the Pacific Coast Open and the Turkey Night Grand Prix.
