Bacon had the pole but fell back to second on the start. Going into turn three on the first lap Bacon dived low and slid up to the wall, scraped it and tumbled. He was not injured but done for the night. Jonathan Beason was also involved and restarted in the rear. On lap two Will Pierce and Jonathan Beason tangled in turn two forcing the second yellow. Both restarted in the rear. Cody Brewer running third stopped on lap nine and was pushed to the infield out of the race. Beason followed on lap 16.
